TO A HAIR is a collection of five hair pieces inspired by Bodil Bech's poem The Pine Tree (1934). In the poem there is a special feminine cosmology and a unique relationship to the world – a way of existing in it and with it. The human body and the tree merge, while the ether is concretised and becomes physically anchored through it’s fingers. The hair brushing creates a connection between the pine tree and the ether – the big sky.
Four of the hair pieces is part of ROCKS & LOCKS, an exhibition curated by Yael Reisner from Beautiful Objects Gallery in London.
Rocks & Locks: Jewellery artists working with hair – is a new collection of contemporary jewellery, created by 34 international artists who enthused to reclaim the romance and tenderness of hair-scapes. An enthusiasm disappeared through the 20th century, though popular ever since ancient times.
