The installation is a landscape of jewellery —
a forest of cast trees where each branch is full of details, 2006. Jewellers use a casting technique where pieces are first made in wax and then cast in plaster. The wax is melted out of the plaster mould and liquid metal fills the empty space. After cooling the plaster is removed and what is left is a casting-tree. |
